A young Mexican American adult struggles to grieve the recent death in his family when the sudden finding of a childhood toy evokes the memories of a nostalgic past that will bring a false comfort.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT: In this film, I wanted to explore the everlasting longing for the past life every immigrant experiences, despite successfully adapting to a new environment. This romanticized version of my home country, Mexico, that I have created for myself has, in many ways I might not want to fully accept yet, kept me from fully experiencing and enjoying life in the United States. So, I would like to touch on how memories of our past, which often times have been sweetened and pampered by our fantasizing minds, are not what they seem and distract from our everyday lives.
